What might this mean for individuals, for friends, family, businesses, social groups … and for the country? A question on everyone’s mind is “What role will I take in the coming days?”

Immersive tours of the house, by ticketed reservation only, will feature costumed interpreters representing members of the Davis family. The grounds around the house, where interactive educational displays and hands-on activities will represent local individuals of Marietta’s Red Cross and local Ohio National Guard company, are open to all for free.

Living history interpreters taking on the roles of the Davis family welcome you to an immersive specialized tour of The Castle focused around the events happening locally, nationally, and internationally in the early days of America’s involvement in WWI. Join them to be transported back to April 20, 1917, when renowned singer Margaret Wilson, daughter of President Woodrow Wilson, visited Marietta to give a concert in aid of the American Red Cross. Visitors will witness the family busily preparing for the evening’s events as they learn about the roles the family members will play in upcoming months.*

Tours will start on the hour at 1, 2, 3 and 4 p.m. Reservations must be booked in advance – limited spaces are available. Each tour will last approximately 45 minutes.
