Take an interactive tour of Oak Grove Cemetery and learn about just a few of the interesting men and women buried there from living history interpreters. This year’s tour features a little known writer and historian, an Ohio governor, a survivor of D-Day, one of The Castle’s owners and Marietta socialites, an editor and owner of The Marietta Register, and an Indy 500 driver. Come engage with the past and learn the stories behind this year’s interesting characters!
Tour takes place at Oak Grove Cemetery located along 8th St. between Washington and Wooster St.s in Marietta. This tour will start at the entrance closest to Wooster St. We’d suggest parking along 8th St. nearest to Wooster St.

We are following all CDC, Ohio Department of Health, and Marietta/ Belpre Health Department guidelines:
- Masks are not required, but the CDC still recommends their use for those who are not fully vaccinated.
- At least six-foot social distancing between unfamiliar persons or groups is also suggested.
- Our tour guide will use an enhanced speaker system to ensure adequate audio levels and social distancing.

Tour starts at the cemetery entrance closest to Wooster St. We’d suggest parking along 8th St. nearest to Wooster St.
This tour should last approximately 1 hr 15 min. Walking will take place mostly over paved roads and some across grass and between headstones. Some walking will be up and down moderate grades. Time spent standing at each stop will be approximately 10 min. Those with difficulty standing may consider carrying along a compactable chair. We’d suggest dressing according to the weather and bringing a water bottle.
