This year’s Cultural Caravan will be offered as a four-session course in collaboration with Marietta College’s Institute for Learning in Retirement. This course will examine the expression of modernism and realism through the work of two Ohio artists: Charles Burchfield and Clyde Singer, Singer having direct ties to Marietta. The fourth session of the course will visit Burchfield’s childhood home in Salem, Ohio, and the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown.
