History Camp-Marietta's Past

Five exciting days of hands-on historic experiences at The Castle with music, art, crafts, historic characters, trips, and other fun-filled programs. Experience different aspects of Marietta's history by taken part in the activities of various historical occupations and the daily life of citizens in Marietta's past.

July 10 - The Northwest Ordinance
Special Program - Mound Cemetery Tour
Activities - Declaration of Independence & the US Constitution, writing a petition or law and more

July 11 - The Pioneers
Special Program - Tour of Campus Martius Museum
Activities - Archeological digs, Pioneer games and more

July 12 - The Civil War Era
Special Program - Castle Tour with Civil War displays
Activities - Life of the Soldier, the Underground Railroad and more

July 13 - The Victorians
Special Program - Dancing Through the Ages
Activities - Calling Cards, Silhouette making and more

*NOTE: Schedule is subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.

The camp is fashioned for children entering grades 3, 4 & 5. Registration fee of $30 per child per day, or $125 for the entire fun-filled week. Fee will cover all trips, craft materials, beverages, and snacks. Please provide a sack lunch that does not require refrigeration. Because of the personalized ratio of child to counselor in each group, the size of the camp is limited.
