Halloween Ghost Stories

On October 24th, and 25th, 7:30pm and 9:00pm The Castle will, once again, be open to all who are brave of heart and stout of spirit.

Gremlins, ghosts, and ghoulish phantoms will be laced among the four separate storytelling sessions. The first each evening will be at 7:30 p.m. and the last at 9:00. The later the hour, the spookier the story. (A clove of garlic in the pocket may help ward off vampires.)

Frank McGarvey has been a professional storyteller for more than ten years. He is a member of Storytellers of Central and the National Storytellers Network. He delights in telling deliciously spooky tales. One of his favorites was given to him by an eleven year old girl in the interior of Brazil while he was telling there.

In recent years, he has concentrated his storytelling in Central Ohio. He has told at most of the libraries and many schools in and around Columbus, Ohio. Twice, he was the featured teller at Dublin Library's Grave Tales. He has performed at Tellabration, Fireside Tales, The Ohio State Fair, Comfest, and many other events.

Before Frank entered grade school his father told him that when he was a young man, years before Frank was born, his mother appeared to him after her death. From that Frank should have known that there would be many strange occurrences in his life. He may share some of those happenings with us.
