Jazz In The Woods
In 2010 we will welcome The Appalachian Jazz Quartet for four concerts.
The concerts this year are funded, in part, by grants from Artsbridge and the Ohio Arts Council.
"What's that, you say?" It's fun to say and jazz afficionados will know it's more fun to listen to. This year the Appalachian Jazz Quartet presents their third concert series at The Castle. Each of four concerts will focus on one important figure from music history.
Join pianist Michael Tobar, mandolinist Zeke Hutchison, swing guitarist Rusty Smith, and "he can play anything" bassist Nick Weiland for a wonderful evening of classic and freshly flavored jazz.
March 6 will be the music of Cole Porter.
April 10 will be the music of Jerome Kern.
May 1 will be the music of Hoagy Carmichael
June 5 will be the music of George Gershwin
All concerts are in the parlor and begin at 7:00 PM.
